Saving John
< >“Hey Tom, My parents are bringing me to the beach. Do you want to follow us?” I asked my best, Tom. Tom nodded and ran back home immediately to pack his things. A few minutes later, I met Tom at a nearby playground. My parents drove us to the beach. Upon reaching there, Tom and I changed into our swimming costume and we jumped into the sea. My parents were having a picnic under a shady spot. When Tom and I were splashing water at each other, we met our classmate, John. He was playing with a skier. Suddenly, the skier collided with a boat carrying three children. John and the three children fell into the sea. The four of them were struggling as they did not know how to swim.
< >Every one on the beach was petrified. “I have to act fast, if not the situation will get worst!” I thought. I told Tom what I was thinking. Both of us swam as fast as we could to reach the four of them. We got hold of their arms and pulled them out of the shore. Some of the swimmers came and helped us too! My father did CPR on the four of them. Later, the three children that were on the boat awoke and they ran to their parents. Unfortunately, John was the only one who did not woke up. My mother fished out her hand phone and called the ambulance. A few minutes later, sirens filled the air. The ambulance had finally arrived! The paramedics carried John up into the ambulance and he was sent to the hospital immediately.
< >My parents, Tom and I get into our car and we followed the ambulance to the hospital. On reaching the hospital, John’s parents had already arrived. John’s mother was so worried that she burst into tears. My mother consoled her and all of us waited patiently for the doctor. Then, the doctor came out of the room. He told all of us that John was out of danger. Upon hearing that, all of us let out a sigh of relieved. We went in to visit John.
< >When we went in, John thanked Tom and I for saving him. A few days later, John recharged from the hospital. From that incident, John did not dare to go any swimming pool or sea anymore.
